Subject: : Muhammad in battle
I would like to know if Prophet Muhammad(PBUHAHF) ever fought in battle. If he fought, then why is it that we never hear any stories about his battles? If he did not fight, then what was the reason for not fighting even though he was on the battlefield?
Dear brother As we read in the holy Quran the Prophet Mohammad took part in numerous battels, and according to historical evidence he participated at about 90 battles. Regarding our time we should act according to teachings of Quran. Quran says you should fight against those who has hostile position against you and pushed you out of your land. So I think it is an obligatory duty for all Muslems around the world to be united and launch a fierse attack against Israel. Yazdani

Subject : Name
SALAAM I HAVE A SISTER HER NAME IS HUMERA, MANY PEOPLE TOLD MY FAMILY THAT THIS IS NOT A GOOD NAME TO KEEP BECAUSE IT IS REFERENCE TO THE PROPHET WIFE AISHA? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF HUMERA IN ARABIC AND FARSI?
Dear brother, HUMEYRA means a red girl. It is not a bad name, But if you are in an environment that this name remembers and revives AISHA and her crimes against the Prophet Mohammad and Imam Ali and Imam Hasan, it would be better for your sister to change her name. I propose the name of FATEMA for her. Many thanks. Yazdani

Subject: Ahlul Kitab
salaamu alaikum I wrote an email to you concerning the cleanliness (tat-heer) or filthliness (najis) of ahlul kitab, and I havent received any answer yet. I fear that you did not receive it. But my questions were as follows: 1. are the Christians of the time considered ahlul kitab? 2. or are they considered Mushriks (polytheists) because they say the Jesus is the son of god, or they say he is god or they say that he is one in three persons of god. are they considered mushriks because of anyone or all of the above statements. 3. if yes or no are they clean. 4. is it permissible to eat their food (non meats)? 5 is it permissible to marry (mut'a) with their women? please answer the above questions according to Ayatullah Seestani. he says in his risalah that it is not improbable that they are clean, does he also include those christian who say that Jesus is the son of god, or god or one in three. if so please or not, please make the matter clear. thank you in advance for your troubles and may Allah protect you and all our scholars from any type of harm.
salaamun alaikum
Dear Brothers,
Salamun Alaykum... In Taudhihul Masaael of Sayyid Seestani it is writen that a person from Ahlul Kitab is clean so, it is permissible to have their food unless we are sure that the food is najis, and, it is permissible to marry a Christian woman a temporary marriage.

Subject: : Ghusl instead of wudhu
Assalamun Alaikum,
I know that if a person performs an obligatory or mustahab ghusl, then he does not have to perform wudhu in order to pray. But in regards to the mustahab ghusl, does it have to be done on certain occasions, like on Friday's, or can it be done at anytime? For instance, can a person perform ghusl at any time instead of wudhu in order to pray? If a mustahab ghusl is only allowed on certain days, then please list what those days are.
Assalamun Alaikum,
Dear brother, If you perform Jenabat ghusl you can pray without wudhu and it is Bed'ah if you take wudhu but if you perform mustahab or any other obligatory ghusl, you have to take wudhu. However there are some faqih like the late Khoei who allow praying with mustahab ghusl. Regarding your second question, I refer you to Ayatullah Sistani's resaleh in our site. Yazdani

Could you please inform us the boundaries of Muzdalefa. As you know in Muzdalefa there are yellow lights and white lights and some Muslims brothers believe that the yellow lights are the right boundaries and not the white neither the sign been put by the Saudi authority.
Thank you.

In the Name of God The Most High The boundaries of that is from Mazamayn to Hiadh and Vadi Muhassar. If the lights are exactly on the old boundaries, you can trust on them, otherwise you should pass the night in a place that is surely inside Mozdalefa. Yazdani

Subject: : Limits of Intimacy with spouse Assalamun Alaikum,
According to the majority opinion of the Shiah mujtahids, are a husband and wife allowed to engage in anal intercourse? I do taqleed of Ayatullah Seestani, so what is the ruling of Ayatullah Seestani on this matter?

Dear brother, According to Ayatullah Seestani, anal intercourse is not haram but it is makrooh, it means it is better for you to avoid it specially when she dislikes it and will be bothered. Yazdani

Subject: : Self-beating in Muharram Assalamun Alaikum,
It is common knowledge that a person is not allowed to injure himself during a funeral. Now since we know this, how can the self-inflicted injuries during Muharram be justified? If beating oneself is not allowed for a deceased relative, why is it allowed during Muharram? What is the reasoning given by the Shiah scholars as to why it is allowed and what is its purpose and benefits? Mourning is good, but what is the purpose and benefit of self-inflicted injuries? When the Sunnis or non-Muslims look at the Shiahs, they use this as an example to belittle the school of Ahlul-Bayt. In the West, whenever the images of Shiahs beating themselves is plastered on the TV screens, the Shiah school is insulted and given a bad name. In spite of it not being allowed for relatives and the bad impression it leaves in the minds of non-Muslims and non-Shiahs, why is it allowed by the ulema and what is its benefit and purpose?
Assalamun Alaikum,
Dear brother, According to all Shia scholars, mourning for Ahlul-Bayt specially for Imam Hosayn is a great pious deed and has great reward in the hereafter. And you know that different nations have different customs of mourning and they can perform this ceremony according to their customs. Nevertheless you find that most of people beat themselves when they face a great tragic event such as death of their beloved son. So if they beat themselves in the tragedy of Ashora, it will be a sign of sympathy and this act will bring heavenly reward. I mean crying and inflicting soft beats on our chests in the ceremony of Ashora is justifiable and something common among wise men of every nation. But it is not allowed for us to inflict heavy beats on ourselves. Regarding your second question, you should know that we have many things that people of other cultures do not understand . For example if a non Muslem look at Hajj ceremony specially the ceremony of throwing stones at the Satan, he will be astonished and call us mads. We should not give up Islam due to people's wonder and mockery. Instead we should explain and justify our believes and traditions. Best regards, Yazdani

Subject: : Taqleed
Assalamun Alaikum,
Is it permissible to do taqleed of more than one mujtahid at the same time? For instance, can a person follow the rulings of Ayatullah Seestani regarding prayer but follow the rulings of Ayatullah Khamenei on financial transactions? Or does a person have to choose one mujtahid and follow all of his rulings?
Assalamun Alaikum,
Dear brother, It is permissible to do taqleed of more than one mujtahid, and it is when you find the first mujtahid most learned for example in questions regarding worship such as praying fasting pilgrimage and so on, and the second mujtahid most learned in financial transactions. This is an admired method that every wise man selects in his daily affairs Best regards, Yazdani
