In Moscow, for example, nearly 49% of the marriages ended indivorce, after the birth of the first child.

In the Mavadansk regionthe percentage of divorce is as high as 72.

9 percent.

The Physicians'Conference held at Moscow University in 1975 called for urgent measuresto tackle this grave social problem, concerning the high divorce rateand the low birth rate.
